This week was definitely a little busy (life wise) with the holidays and everything.  Between going home and family stuff, it was a busy week!

Mileage wise, I was definitely down, but it was needed.  As winter is the off season, I am trying not too over do it.  Just enough running this week to balance out all the extra calories :)

Ebates Coupons and Cash Back

Who else can't believe that Christmas is only 2 weeks away?  I realized this with a bit of panic last night and got to shopping.  Since I head to PA for the Christmas, I try and do most of my shopping online and have it shipped to my mom's house (which makes for a fun Christmas Eve trying to wrap everything, but that's a story for another time).  In addition to not having to carry everything home, I love using Ebates when online shopping.  Does anyone else use it?  You register and then shop through the site - and get a percentage back.  Okay, it's not a huge percentage, but every bit counts, right?  If you aren't using Ebates you should.  You can sign up using this link.  {Full disclosure, I do get a referral bonus if you register using this link, so thanks in advance!}

This weekend was the continuation of a holiday tradition for me - setting up my Christmas Tree while watching Elf.  I started doing this years ago and now it's the only way I'll set up my tree.  I mean, who doesn't love Elf?  If you don't, I'm not sure we can be friends (just kidding, I think I can move past it).  This past year when I was in Disney for Princess, we stopped in the Christmas shop in Downtown Disney and I picked up some ornaments to mark my completion of some big races - Dumbo, Dopey and Glass Slipper Challenge.  I have a tiny tree so I try and limit heavy ornaments, but I love these 3 and what they represent.  Dumbo and Dopey look especially cute in their Christmas garb.  Perfect addition to my tree!

My running Christmas list

I know every running blogger has a Christmas gift list post... but I still wanted to share mine.  These are things actually on my wish list for Christmas this year.  Hopefully, I some of these items find their way under the tree this year!

{This is just a post of some of the things on my gift list, I am not sponsored or being compensated in any way for any of these products, although I would not complain if they wanted too =) }

Gone for a Run - Bibfolio - starts at $39.99

I saw these last year at the Philly marathon expo and have been waiting one ever since.  My race bibs have been sitting in a pile in my bookshelf.  The bibfolio's are hard backed with durable rings.  You can also buy protector sheets and even race recap insert sheets.  They have lots of different options for the cover.  I've requested the above design and a 4 packs of protector sheets (I have a lot of bibs!).

Oiselle Flyte Shorts - $32

Everyone who wears Oiselle raves about their products and I love that they are women's running clothing company by women.  All their products are really cute and look great, but also perform great.  I've asked for the Flyte shorts.  They will be perfect for hot summer days and under my Sparkle Athletic skirts for Disney races.

Oakley Women's Unstoppable Sunglasses - starts at $150, price varies based on lens/frame type

I have been wanting a better pair of running sunglasses.  My current are decent, but are over 5 years old now (and they weren't the best quality even when brand new).  These Oakley's are just what I am looking for - great for running and also very stylish!  I want the above combo (although I had lots of trouble deciding!).  They have a bunch of frame/lens color combinations as well as polarized and non-polarized lens options.  This style is exclusive to Sunglass Hut (in case you are looking for them).

That's all I have on my running wish list for this year!

What's on your wish list?

2 on Tuesday

We got our first snow fall today.  Not sure how much we got - I'm going to estimate 2-3 inches?  No idea.  It was pretty bad on my commute.  Normally on snow days, I like to take advantage of my office's casual dress policy, but today I had to go to a work conference in the morning and be dressy.  Love wearing a skirt and heels in snow (well, I wore snow boots and changed into heels before the event).  I am so classy, huh?

I love Christmas and all the decorations that go with it.  NYC decorated for Christmas is definitely one of my favorite times of the year.  But as much as I like it, it's hard in NYC to keep a lot of decorations, especially when you live in a "charming" (NYC speak for small) apartment.  But, that doesn't stop me from keeping a small tree under my bed (yes, I am an artificial tree kinda gal).  This past weekend, I put on Elf and got decorating.  I keep it pretty simple, all gold and dark red ornaments with a bow for my tree topper, but I do have two Disney ornaments on it.  My favorite all time character - Tinkerbell sitting on a red bell and a simple Port Orleans Resort ornament (my favorite place to stay at Disney World).

Speaking of snow boots, I finally got to use my new ones!  Last summer when we were on our way home from VT (for the Crawley Half Marathon), we made a pit stop at the outlets.  The Orvis outlet was having a great sale and I scored a pair of awesome Sorel boots for only $32.  They are the Tivoli Nylon boot and are an awesome light purple/gray combo.  I had been wanting a pair of Sorel's for a while, but had been holding off.  I don't know what I was waiting for.  They are so warm and comfortable.  At least I know my feet will be warm this winter!

I seemed to ramble a little bit on this 2 on Tuesday, thanks for sticking with me!
