Training recap week of 8/12 (DLH / DDD Week 16)

We are officially less then 2 weeks from Disneyland!  The countdown has become - I am so excited I know the next 2 weeks will take forever.  Why is it always like that?

This past week of training went well.  Got my last back to back in.  Almost time to start tapering!


Monday
Scheduled: Off or cross training
Actual: Took an 1hr 15min walk with Jenny and Ellie (again!)

Tuesday
Scheduled: 2 x 1.5M @ 8:36-9:09 pace (plus warm up and cooldown)
Actual: 2 x 1.5 miles (8:49, 8:26 & 8:35, 8:53), total 5.52 miles

Wednesday
Scheduled: Off
Actual: Off

Thursday
Scheduled: 7 mile tempo run at race pace (8:46-9:09 pace) with warm up and cool down
Actual: 7 miles tempo, 8.2 miles total
Paces: 9:13, 9:15, 9:16, 9:11, 9:10, 8:55, 9:06

Friday
Scheduled: Rest
Actual: Rest

Saturday
Scheduled: 6 miles easy pace (9:46-10:46 pace)
Actual: 8.22 miles, 1:12:34, 10:25 pace

I know I did more then I was supposed to but it was Summer Streets and I couldn't help it!

Sunday
Scheduled: Battle of Brooklyn 10M, long run pace (9:29 pace)
Actual: 10.1 miles, 1:34:01, 9:19 pace

Total miles: 32.03
Total August miles: 67.52
