Training recap week of 3/24 (Grandma's Week 6)

I can't believe March is almost over!  Although, no one told Mother Nature apparently and it's still chilly here.

This week included checking another state off the list - Kentucky!  We had the best time there and I'm hoping to do some posts on what we did.  I'll definitely have a full recap of the race, but I will say the organizers put on a good time.

My schedule was to either take the whole race easy or do 7 easy and the last 6.1 at marathon pace.  It was my call depending on how I felt.  I was torn the first 7 miles of the race.  It was a pretty hilly course so I wasn't sure.  I decided I'd take it 1 mile at time and see how it went.  I'm happy to say I did all 6 at race pace and while hard with all the hills, I am pleased at how they went.  All this hard work looks to be paying off!
