30 by 30: #29 (or the end is getting closer...)
Last weekend was #28 at the Wine and Dine and this weekend brings about number 29! I will be heading down to Philly tomorrow after work to run the Philadelphia Half Marathon on Sunday. I am excited for the weekend. I'll be staying with a good friend who lives there and of course, the race is on Sunday. I've run the Philadelphia Marathon twice (#4 and 8), but never the half.
I can't believe #29 is already here. I remember back in January when this idea was an inkling in my mind and I had only done #21. What a long way to come in 10 months!
Wish me luck for Sunday!

Wanderlust Wednesday: Paris
It has definitely turned cold here and I'm slowly getting used to it. Last week the cold weather inspired me to go warm for Wanderlust...this week it's inspiring me to go cold - Paris! I have never been to Paris, but it is definitely on the list.
Anyone ever been? What is the best season to go?

Happy Monday!
Happy Monday everyone! I'm still in the airport here in Orlando. Our flight is delayed by 3 hours. Love traveling, hate flights!
I'll have a full recap of both the race (#28 is done!) and the Food and Wine festival later this week, but here are some instragram photo's to check out!

30 by 30: #28 this weekend!
I'm off today to Florida to run race #28 in my goal of 30 half marathons before my 30th birthday. It's the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. The race takes place at night and runs through Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios before finishing right outside Epcot. Then there is a finisher's party in Epcot until 3am!
This weekend is also the last weekend of the Disney Food and Wine Festival, which means I will be eating and drinking up a storm. For more info on the festival (and to make yourself hungry), check out my favorite blog on all things Disney food: Disney Food Blog

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Wanderlust Wednesday: Bermuda
Depending on where you live, you might be seeing snow outside your window right now. And if you live in the northeast, you are getting hit with a nor'easter. And you also know that mother nature is pissed us right now - first a hurricane and now a nor'easter? Hope where ever you are you are staying warm!

Since it's cold outside, let's go somewhere warm for Wanderlust: Bermuda! I've actually been to Bermuda, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to go back. My grandparents actually lived there when I was in junior high, so we used to go at least once a year, but I would love to go back as an adult and visit again.

Pitch Perfect
Last night, my friend Pam and I decide to go to the movies. We'd both needed some cheering up and didn't feel like watching election coverage all night. Plus, as a bonus (which we discovered when we got there), movie theatres are EMPTY on Tuesday nights. I mean, logically it's not that surprising, but in NYC you never know.
In the mood for some lighthearted-ness, we choose Pitch Perfect. And let me tell you - it was amazing! Not in the "it's going to win an Oscar" amazing, but still amazing. We saw the trailer for it way back when we went to see Magic Mike and knew immediately we would need to see this one too. The music is great and there are some awesomely cheesey scenes as well as some great one liners. I actually think I might buy this when it comes out on DVD for bad days!
If you need a happy movie and some laughs, definitely check out Pitch Perfect!

Two for Tuesday
Happy Tuesday everyone!
Today is election day in America! I don't care who you vote for, just that you vote. We are lucky enough to live in a society where we have the ability to vote - don't take it for granted. I voted by absentee ballot a couple of weeks ago (I'm still a registered voter in PA).
I was in Marshall's again (in PA) and I absolutely could not resist buying a donut pan. I've been seeing them all over pinterest and blogs and I have to have one. And because I was stuck inside with Hurricane Sandy last week, I put it to good use making some pumpkin spice donuts! They were delicious!

Power 90: Week 3 & 4
Hello everyone! Sorry for the break in blogging - with the storm forcing me to work from home and everything going on in the city, I just wasn't in the mood for blogging. Sorry!
However, working from home for a week meant a lot of cooking ensued. I have lots of recipes to post this week!
There will be more posts to come tonight and the rest of the week, but let's kick the week off with a Power 90 update. I missed last weeks update (hey, Hurricane Sandy), but am happy to say I did all workouts both weeks. Way to go me!
Weeks 3 and 4
Sculpt 1-2: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Sweat 1-2/Ab Ripper 100: Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
I also added in some more running this week (week 4) and did the following:
Wednesday: 35 mins
Friday: 45 mins
Saturday: 8 miles
Week 5 starts tomorrow. I already know I will miss 2 days of this week - Saturday and Sunday. I head for Florida Friday Night for Half Marathon #28 (I know it's been a while since a 30 by 30 post - but I didn't forget!) and will be in Disney until Monday night. I'm running the Wine and Dine Half Marathon. Looking forward to it.
